Bonaire was feature in the June 2011 issue of Sport Diver magazine. Entitled "Out There Bonaire," this10-page spread highlights the island's the island's bounty of easy-access shore diving to the topside sporting thrills it offers their visitors. Throughout the article editor Aaron Gulley, praises the diving the island offers and calls it the "Dive Mecca." The second half of the story showcases the adventure that can be found all around the island from world-class windsurfing at Lac Bay, mountain biking and kayaking through the mangroves.  The article includes a sidebar titled "Guide to Bonaire," that includes information on must dives, average water temperature, what to wear and when to go. Photos of scuba diving, mountain biking, windsurfing, kayaking through the mangroves and cave snorkeling are showcased throughout the article.
