CBS The Early Show DEMA's Be A Diver campaign was featured on the CBS weekend edition of The Early Show in January 2008. The segment showed weekend host and meteorologist Lonnie Quinn interviewing DEMA's Big Wave Dave and inviting viewers to try scuba diving at the Be A Diver pool stop in New York. Scuba retailers joined Dave outside the CBS national morning show window in wetsuits and holding "Be A Diver" banners. In closing the segment, both Quinn and inside studio host Chris Wragge encouraged viewers to try scuba and "Be A Diver." The segment was seen by over 1.8 million viewers across the US. |

The Food Network's "Rachel Ray's Tasty Travels" Riviera Maya was the topic of The Food Network's Rachel Ray's Tasty Travels show on the September 4, 2007 episode. The first half of the show focused on popular restaurants and fine shops. For each of the restaurants featured, Rachel highlighted their signature dishes and the ingredients that go into making them. The episode also showed the hottest spots in Playa del Carmen for nightlife. The Food Network airs in the USA and Canada and is available via satellite in other international locations. Rachel Ray's Tasty Travels is a 30-minute travel & lifestyle show that reaches approximately 85 million homes and airs an average of two times per week during primetime programming slots. |

WTVJ-TV, Miami WTVJ, the NBC affiliate in Miami, Florida, sent a news crew to Bonaire for unique feature coverage of the DEMA-sponsored Wounded Warriors Disabled Sports USA scuba diving certification trip to Bonaire. Airing on the 11:00pm News Monday, September 24, 2007, the nearly 4-minute feature broadcast highlighted the open-water certification of three severely injured troops and included anchor Willard Shepard's exclusive interview with Mr. Tom Ingram, the Executive Director for DEMA. Florida is one of the top markets for diving in the U.S. and the 17th largest DMA (designated market area) in the US. The segment was seen by over 80,000 people. |

Good Day L.A. DEMA's Be A Diver Pool was featured on Fox affiliate KTTV's Good Day L.A. morning show in February 2008. A series of teasers plus two segments totaling nearly five minutes of air time showed Good Day L.A. host X broadcasting live from underwater in DEMA's 18,000 gallon "Be A Diver" pool. As a result, local dive retailers received many customers in their stores that weekend who said that they saw the "Be A Diver" pool on TV and now wanted to dive. The segment was seen by over 340,000 viewers in L.A. and the surrounding area. |

The New York Times As a direct result of the St. Kitts Music Festival press conference held in New York City April 17th, The New York Times Travel Section's "Datebook" on April 27, 2008 opens with "St. Kitts, West Indies" and an announcement of the dates and headlining acts for this year's event. The New York Times is one of the top daily newspapers in the US with a circulation of over 1.1 million. With the addition of the circulation of the e-newsletter and the presence of the paper's website, actually circulation is even higher. |

Audubon Dominica was featured in the Green Travel section of the March/April 2008 issue of Audubon magazine. Entitled "On the Map," journalist Chris Cox describes the island as a Caribbean pearl that harbors rare jewel-like parrots and a boiling lake. Sport Diver St. Kitts is the subject of a 9-page feature article in the May issue of Sport Diver magazine. The island appears on the COVER as one of four destinations chosen as "top picks to go expat" under the title, "Move to Paradise." The portion of the article dedicated to St. Kitts discusses the shift away from sugar to tourism, investing in real estate and diving. It's clear that Ty is captivated by St. Kitts, stating, "Of all the islands I know, this is the one island to think seriously about investing in property and going expat." He continues on to praise the island's people and diving, commenting, "I like St. Kitts, I keep telling myself.
